Applying the products

Two-component jointing mortars, drainage bedding mortars and cement-based materials require a ground and curing temperature of at least 5°C.

Please note! Even when the air temperature is above 0°C, ground and curing temperatures may be too low. Always check the substrate temperature first.

ROMFIX Easy and ROMFIX Easy Fijn can still be applied at ground and curing temperatures down to 0°C.

Please note! The lower the temperature, the longer the curing time.

Storing the products

Store two-component jointing mortars, drainage bedding mortar, cement-based products and sealants in frost-free conditions to prevent loss of quality.

ROMFIX Easy and ROMFIX Easy Fijn are exceptions. These products can freeze without becoming unusable or losing quality.

Using a drainage mortar silo?

To prevent frost damage, disconnect the water hoses from the drainage mortar silo. You can then use the silo in waterless mode. This prevents water in the pipes from freezing and keeps the silo operational.
