Product information
ARDEX K 301 is a heavy-duty external floor levelling compound for smoothing and levelling indoor and outdoor floor surfaces. It is suitable for layer thicknesses of 3 to 20 mm and is designed for applications requiring a strong, level, ready-to-use floor. Its good flow properties and self-levelling action quickly produce a smooth finish.
This versatile levelling compound can also be used for ready-to-use floors in commercial and industrial premises, garages, car park decks, yards and access roads. ARDEX K 301 is also suitable for demanding areas such as wet rooms, permanently wet areas, balconies and terraces, as a substrate for tiling, paint finishes and coatings.
ARDEX K 301 is readily pumpable and ready for foot traffic and loading after approximately 2 to 3 hours. It is also suitable for underfloor heating, resistant to frost and de-icing salts, and suitable for castor wheel loading.
Application instructions
Suitable for layer thicknesses of 3 to 20 mm.
Mixing ratio: approximately 5 litres of water per 25 kg of powder.
Working time: approximately 30 to 45 minutes.
Ready for foot traffic after approximately 3 hours.
Moisture-insensitive coverings can be laid after approximately 1 day.
Paint finishes and coatings can be applied after approximately 2 days at 5 mm, 5 days at 10 mm and 7 days at 20 mm.
Material consumption: approximately 1.6 kg of powder per m² per mm.
Resistant to frost and de-icing salts.
Step-by-step guide
- Ensure that the substrate is clean, load-bearing and suitable for levelling.
- Mix 25 kg of powder with approximately 5 litres of clean water to produce a lump-free mortar.
- Apply the product to the floor at the required layer thickness of 3 to 20 mm.
- Spread the levelling compound evenly over the surface.
- Allow the product to flow and level itself.
- The floor is ready for foot traffic after approximately 3 hours.
- Depending on the finish, further coverings can be applied after 1 to 7 days.
