Product information
WatecDrain KP+ is a capillary-passive thin-layer drainage system for thin-bed floor installations. It is loose-laid, without bonding to the substrate. This provides 100 per cent uncoupling and drainage, helping prevent frost damage, efflorescence and stresses within the build-up. The 6 mm air layer also accelerates drying of the construction.
This drainage board is designed for outdoor tiled constructions requiring reliable drainage and uncoupling. According to Gutjahr, it is the only capillary-passive thin-layer drainage system installed as a floating layer. Vapour diffusion slots also allow residual moisture to escape from cement-based substrates.
WatecDrain KP+ is also designed to allow door threshold details to meet the applicable requirements at low connection heights when combined with the AquaDrain VARIO box gutter. The system is suitable for falls from just 1 per cent. This version provides 2 m² per board.

Step-by-step guide
- Provide a suitable substrate and the correct system build-up.
- Apply the required waterproofing layer in accordance with the system.
- Loose-lay WatecDrain KP+ on the substrate without bonding it to the substrate.
- Finish junctions using the corresponding system components.
- Where needed, use a suitable box gutter for correct door threshold detailing at low build-up heights.
- Complete the floor in accordance with the full system build-up for thin-bed floor installations.
