ARDEX TP 50 is a self-adhesive perimeter insulation strip that prevents acoustic bridging in floor build-ups and during levelling. It is installed along walls and upstands to accommodate stresses and provide a neat perimeter finish. The strip is quick and easy to install, including in corners.

The perimeter insulation strip is grey, 5 mm thick and 50 mm high. It is moisture-resistant and water vapour-permeable, making it suitable for various indoor floor build-ups where the floor must be separated from the wall.

ARDEX TP 50 comes in a box of four 25 m rolls. Its shelf life is approximately 12 months in the unopened original packaging when stored in a cool, dry place.

Step-by-step guide

Ensure the substrate along the wall is clean, dry and dust-free.
Determine the position of the perimeter insulation strip beforehand.
Peel off the protective backing from the self-adhesive side.
Fit the strip neatly along walls and other adjoining vertical structures.
Press the strip firmly into place along its entire length.
Finish corners carefully so that the strip fits neatly.
Then install the floor build-up, levelling layer or finish in accordance with the system.
