Lithofin

In 1953 startte Glaubrecht Stingel in Duitsland met de productie van een nieuw type schoonmaakmiddel. Door de groeiende vraag naar hoogwaardige reinigingsproducten voor natuursteen verhuisde het bedrijf enkele keren, totdat in 1979 het merk Lithofin werd opgericht. De naam Lithofin is zorgvuldig gekozen: ze combineert het Griekse woord lithos (steen) met het Engelse woord finish. Samen vormen ze de kern van waar het merk voor staat.

Programme for the day

Join us on your chosen demonstration day, Thursday 7 or Friday 8 January 2027. We’ll send you details of the venue and programme in advance.

We’ll briefly introduce the topics for the day. Attendees will be split into two groups to encourage interaction during the practical sessions.

The theory session covers ROMFIX’s innovative systems, including jointing systems, drainage bedding mortars and foundation techniques.

The first practical session is a 60-minute demonstration led by ROMFIX and ARDEX.

ARDEX:

In this session, ARDEX will present its stair drainage system. Gutjahr is the only manufacturer to offer stair drainage with one-piece, preformed corner pieces designed specifically for external stairs. The system supports three installation methods: thin-bed bonding, thick-bed bonding and laying on drainage bedding mortar. The session also covers the Gutjahr TerraMaxx RS-S aluminium frame system. This lightweight frame is easy to assemble and is suitable for ceramic tiles at least 20 mm thick, as well as for use with decking boards.

ROMFIX:

ROMFIX will cover foundation techniques, drainage bedding mortars and jointing systems. We’ll show you how to lay paving on drainage bedding mortar and finish it with a suitable jointing mortar.

The second practical session is a 60-minute demonstration led by Lithofin.

Lunch is provided during the demonstration days, with a choice of sandwiches and drinks. Please let us know in advance if you have any allergies.

ARDEX and RUBI lead the third 60-minute demonstration. We’ll split into two groups again so you can take an active part.
