Lithofin Bescherming >W<, 5 L, is a water-based impregnator that protects stone surfaces against water and soiling. It penetrates deep into porous materials and makes the surface water-repellent without changing the appearance of the stone.

After treatment, water can no longer penetrate the material. Instead, it beads on the surface. This greatly reduces the absorption of moisture and harmful substances. The surface stays cleaner for longer and is easier to maintain.

Lithofin Bescherming >W< is suitable for various absorbent mineral materials, including natural stone, concrete paving, brick and paving blocks. It can be applied indoors and outdoors and is also suitable as a pre-treatment when laying patio slabs.

The water-based, solvent-free formulation is easy and safe to apply. The treated surface remains vapour-permeable, allowing moisture in the substrate to evaporate. The appearance of the stone changes very little, and the product does not yellow under UV light.

Belangrijke verwerkingsvoorschriften

Het oppervlak moet absorberend, schoon en droog zijn.
Niet toepassen op natte of niet-absorberende oppervlakken zoals geglazuurde materialen.
Niet gebruiken op gepolijste kalksteen.
Nieuwe betonsteen pas impregneren na minimaal 3 maanden.
Niet verwerken bij temperaturen boven 25°C of in direct zonlicht.
Bescherm glas, gelakte oppervlakken en kunststoffen tegen spatten.
Gereedschap kan na gebruik met water worden gereinigd.

Step-by-step guide

1. Make sure the surface is clean, absorbent and thoroughly dry.
2. Apply the impregnator evenly with a brush, roller or sprayer.
3. Allow the product to penetrate the substrate.
4. On highly absorbent substrates, a second coat can be applied wet on wet.
5. Remove excess product after approximately 10 minutes.
6. Protect the treated surface from water or rain for approximately 8 hours.
