Spring is on its way. ROMFIX has five tips to get your patio ready for the season.
Use Lithofin Terrassenreiniger to keep your patio clean. Cleaning your balcony or wall too? Use Lithofin Buitenhuisreiniger.Â
For narrow patio paving joints from 1 mm wide, you can use ROMFIX jointing sand for the joints. Before applying the sand, the surface must be completely dry. Test this by rubbing a little jointing sand onto the surface. If you can brush it all off, the surface is dry enough. Once applied, the jointing sand hardens and inhibits weed growth.Â
For weed-free joints in clay paving, concrete paving and ceramic tiles, use ROMFIX Easy Fijn. Easy Fijn is very easy to apply. Spread it over the patio and use a garden hose to wash it down to the bottom of the joints. As well as preventing weeds, it resists ants and is available in five colours.
The ROMFIX Pro is often used for wider patio joints between materials such as cobbles, Swedish granite and coated concrete paving. ROMFIX Pro is a two-component jointing mortar rated for an axle load of 7.5 tonnes. It prevents weeds and resists ants. Mix ROMFIX Pro with the supplied resin component for at least three minutes before adding water.Â
Want the look of gravel or chippings with a tidy finish? Choose resin-bound gravel or chippings from ROMFIX. These solutions resist ants and prevent frost heave. The binder can be mixed with eight colours of decorative chippings. The four lightest colours need a UV-resistant binder to preserve their colour.Â
