Stable ground in Tynaarlo

This project in the municipality of Tynaarlo required a stable foundation to prevent lateral movement within a limited foundation build-up. The ROMFIX system provides a durable foundation that prevents further settlement of the road surface. We installed more than 14,000 m² of our system here.

The build-up

The ROMFIX system usually combines geocells (R’Cel), geogrid (E’Grid) and geotextile (R’Tex), with mixed aggregate infill. In this case, R’Cel prevents lateral movement of the road. We would like to thank Broekema Wegenbouw once again for the excellent collaboration.

A durable solution for future maintenance

The Tynaarlo project called for a strong, stable finish and a solution that substantially reduces the municipality’s maintenance work over the long term. The ROMFIX system keeps the outdoor space functional and presentable for years, even under intensive loading.
