Municipality of Zwolle
The ROMFIX system in Zwolle
Working with contractor Van Gelder, we contributed to major maintenance on Anthony Fokkerstraat in Zwolle. In just one night, we installed more than 1,000 m² of the ROMFIX system, restoring sufficient load-bearing capacity throughout the structure for heavy goods vehicles.
The system
In this case, the ROMFIX system consists of R’Cel type 150/1 foundation reinforcement filled with mixed recycled aggregate. This increases the stiffness of the foundation and extends the service life of the road structure. By using this system, the municipality of Zwolle achieved substantial CO₂ savings through fewer transport movements.
